HC Alumni News
Our newest HC students have already reported for duty... summer school duty, that is! Our newly accepted students have had a fun few weeks on campus taking some history courses as well as prepping for what to expect this fall once classes start. Houston Christian is happy to report that we are on track to have almost 500 students enrolled and on campus this fall!

When we last communicated with you our seniors had just graduated. As soon as the last bell rang, Dr. Livingston and his Globe Trekkers embarked on their summer journey to Turkey. This wasn't HC's first trip to Turkey and this year's globe trekkers benefitted from Dr. Livingston and the past trekkers' experiences. They packed the schedule to experience as much as possible! From a cave hotel in Kaymakli, a hot-air balloon trip over Cappadocia, mud baths in Dalyan, sailing in the Mediterranean and shopping in the markets, our Mustangs learned about a different culture from the ground up!

HC's campus has had a flurry of different summer sports camps, theater rehearsals and athletic conditioning for our students and for students in our community. We have enjoyed seeing alumni and parents back on campus, even if it is to drop off uniforms or as they run to rehearsal!

CAMPUS CLOSURE! Please note that campus with be completely closed this summer during the weeks of July 5-16 in an effort to give our facilities crew a much-deserved break.

Stay tuned for next month's newsletter which will have fall dates and events for you to add to your calendar.

Mustang Stories
Katya Jimenez '17
Hi HC family! My name is Katya and I graduated from HC in 2017. I recently graduated from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in December 2020 with a major in Christian Studies and a minor in Spanish. This August 2021, I will be moving to Orlando, Florida to work with Cru (formally Campus Crusade).

I will be working on the U.S. Mobilization Team with their Headquarters Internship Program. The job includes recruiting college students to work with Cru and helping to place them in the area and role that God has for them. I also plan to be involved in other ministry teams in Orlando!

My assignment will be as a Virtual Recruitment Specialist on the U.S. Mobilization Team as part of the Headquarters Internship Program in Orlando, Florida starting this August 2021. The role includes recruiting college students to serve with Cru who are interested in ministry, and helping to place them in the area and role that God has for them.

Feel free to also reach out to me on HC Connects or via email, if you have any questions or want to talk more about the ministry!
