TURNING 8!

Patriots Path shares a very special birthday – with America! And on this 4th of July we will be turning 8!
Ahead of this celebratory milestone, we would like to thank all of those who have attended a Patriots Path workshop or event, volunteered, hosted, referred, sponsored and supported us over the years. Last year was exceptionally trying, but not surprisingly the military community and its supporters turned out in incredible ways and we had a monumental year of firsts and a lot of successes, despite all of the challenges. Thank you to everyone who is a part of the Patriots Path community. We couldn't do what we do without you!

Accenture is a premier partner of Patriots Path. In fact, Accenture hosted the third ever Patriots Path workshop – back in January of 2014. Since then, they have hosted several workshops, sponsored roundtable discussions, volunteered, had members of their staff serve on the Patriots Path board, and attended or participated in countless Patriots Path events.
We are highlighting Accenture this month, however, for a very special – and critical – donation they made at the onset of the coronavirus. Despite donations coming to a stop as a result of the pandemic, Accenture made a special exception for Patriots Path and donated $10,000.00. Not only were other donations slowing to a halt, but this donation made it possible for Patriots Path to go virtual. As a result, Patriots Path was able to reach students from around the U.S., including Alaska, Washington, California, Colorado, Arizona, New Mexico and Texas, to Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Alabama, Florida, Virginia, Maryland and New York, and even the world, including Germany. As a result, not only did we surpass the number of classes offered from 2019 to 2020 but we also graduated more students.

"ASK A RECRUITER" EVENT

Last month, we gave our Veterans a chance to "Ask a Recruiter" – and the discussion was awesome! Veterans are just like everyone else trying to navigate finding a new career "home."
Thanks to our amazing panel of recruiting experts for answering questions from cover letters to salary negotiations, from follow-up timing to explaining military experience. We are looking forward to hosting an event like this again in the near future, so be sure to check the Patriots Path registration page and this newsletter for updates.
