The Batavia Chamber of Commerce celebrated the grand opening of Chamber members Fancy Nancy Boards and The Hallow Traveler with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Friday, Apr. 26. The festivities took place at 109 E. Wilson St., 2nd Floor in Batavia. Batavia Mayor Jeffery Schielke presided over the celebration along with Nancy Castro, owner of Fancy Nancy Boards, and Eliana Maldonado, owner of The Hallow Traveler.
The two businesses have joined their creative hospitality talents to open a mocktail bar and retail shop, a.k.a. Bar & Board. Along with catering and event planning services, with this second story space, the pair now have room to host small events along with retail sales of charcuterie, cocktail supplies, boards and soon, classes. Fancy Nancy Boards is a Batavia Boardwalk graduate and offers a one of-a-kind charcuterie experience. The Hallow Traveler offers mobile bartending services via a vintage 1989 Merhow horse trailer that has been converted into a mobile bar for all event needs.
