Celebrate National Dairy Month
Is Milk Good For You? According to the US Dairy Council:

Milk contains 13 essential nutrients like high-quality protein, calcium, vitamin D and more.

These nutrients help our bodies function properly. For example:

  • Protein helps build and repair muscle tissue.
  • Calcium and vitamin D help build and maintain strong bones and teeth.
  • Protein, zinc, selenium, and vitamins A and D help support a healthy immune system.

Milk also contains B vitamins, which can help your body convert food into fuel: Vitamin B-12, Riboflavin (B2), Pantothenic acid (B5), and Niacin (B3).

Check out the trip milk takes on its way to your table in this 4:00 minute video, The Journey of Milk

Gifts at Work
Your Foundation team introduced summer programming through virtual options to many families at home during the pandemic in 2020. This year, we will be in person and hands on with more than 48 days of activities planned at Ivy League Childcare, Lincoln Children’s Museum, Nebraska Farm Bureau, Millard Public Schools, Educational Service Unit 3, Gifford Farms, and Albion Cardinal Club. Give today to equip kids with experiment kits, farm-to-table picnic supplies, and a whole lot of fun with Nebraska agriculture.
