Hello,

These are difficult times keeping current with complex regulatory requirements. As your partner, we want to ensure you have the support and resources you need to keep your business safe and maintain compliance. I want to make sure you are fully aware of the Cal OSHA COVID-19 Emergency Temporary Standard (ETS). The grace period ended in February so this new standard is fully enforceable and subject to Cal OSHA citations and fines. Much of this standard incorporates the best practices we have all become accustomed to but also includes some more complex requirements pertaining to exclusion pay, testing, and communication. Since this is now the standard, all employers should update their existing practices and programs to meet these requirements.

Here are a few key Cal OSHA resources:

Other recent regulation you will want to keep in mind include SB 1159 and AB 685. You can learn more about these here:
  • SB 1159 (Workers Compensation Presumption)
  • AB 685 (Exposure Notification & Reporting Requirements)
