College Hill Reservoir Replacement Project
Update: April 26, 2024
Dear Neighbor:

Happy April Showers! We are reaching out with an update on the College Hill Reservoir Replacement Project.

Pothole Work on Tuesday, April 30

Initial work has started on the design for the new transmission main. Now that we have taken College Hill offline, our water construction crews will need to separate the existing transmission from the live system. We will need to open a small part of the street to assess the pipe.

On Tuesday, April 30, our crews will be doing pothole work on Lincoln just south of the intersection with 23rd Avenue. Crews will arrive on Tuesday between 7:00 - 8:00 a.m., and the work will take most of the day. There will be a Road Closed to Through Traffic sign near the north end of the reservoir on Lincoln. Neighbors who live on Lincoln will be able to access their driveways throughout the day. See the image below to see where the work will take place.
Saving Shooting Stars

The Native Plant Society of Oregon, Emerald Chapter, identified a native flowering herbaceous plant called a Shooting Star (Dodecatheon hendersonii) at the College Hill 703 Site. Working with EWEB and a team of volunteers, they braved the rain to rescue many of these beautiful flowers. EWEB is grateful for the partnership and hopes these plants will find good homes and gardens.

Farewell Event

Plans for the Farewell Event are well on their way, and we have already secured a live band and two food trucks! Watch your email for the official announcement and reminders, which will be coming soon.
