Meet the Watershed Stewards
Our watershed stewards serve as part of the Lakes Region Conservation Corps, a region-wide AmeriCorps program. Tenzing Syelneon and Karen Candia will be lending their time and talents throughout the season to help conserve the watershed: monitoring water quality, developing new programs, maintaining Grey Rocks Conservation Area, staffing local events, and more!
Stay tuned for their upcoming entries in the Stewardship Journal, where they will detail their experiences throughout the watershed.

Wash your Boat
Washing your boat minimizes the chance you will carry fish diseases and invasive species to your next boating destination and also keeps your boat in good condition.

  • Wash your boat away from water sources so that any potential contaminants your boat is carrying do not pollute waterways.
  • Use biodegradable soap to minimize your environmental impact.
  • Use a pressure washer to ensure a thorough job!
