Pieces of the Rock

FROM MR. BRUNE
Parents and Friends,

Some of you might remember my letter a couple months back on the possible changes to School Choice here in Indiana in this latest legislative session and budget. Now that the bill has been signed into law by the governor, I wanted to give you all an update of what has changed. This bill has some of the largest moves in School Choice in the country.

The two largest changes are the qualifying income guidelines increasing and changing Choice Scholarship awards from three tiers to one. I have included graphics detailing as much information as possible to show what this may mean for your family, however it will be impossible to answer all questions this monumental change will bring. Since this is some of the largest movements in School Choice, we will be hosting a Town Hall meeting on June 9th at 7pm in the church sanctuary to fully discuss these changes and answer any questions.
The graphic above displays the income levels to qualify for the Choice Scholarship. As long as your Adjusted Gross Income (AGI) falls at or below the number listed at your household size and your child has a track, they would qualify to receive a Choice Scholarship for 2021/2022. We will discuss at the town hall meeting what the tracks are and how your child is eligible for a track.

The graphic below displays the 2021/2022 estimated award amounts based on which school district you live. This award is applied towards your child's tuition here at St. Peter's.

We would love to answer as many questions as possible the night of our town hall meetings. In order to give us a head start on making sure we have all your questions covered, I invite you to submit questions HERE. The questions are anonymous. As always, if you have any questions, please contact us here in the school office.

In Him,

Mr. Brune
