MUSD Board to appoint new member to fill vacancy; candidate applications available
The Milpitas Unified School District's Board of Education unanimously agreed to follow the appointment process in accordance with Board Policy 9223 to select a new member to the governing body.

A vacancy exists due to the resignation of Hon Lien, effective December 20, 2022. The appointment will be for a period ending November 2024 when there will be a regularly scheduled District Board election to fill the seat for which the appointment was made.

MUSD is now accepting applications from people wishing to be considered for appointment. Candidates must be 18 years of age or older, registered voters residing within the boundaries of the Milpitas Unified School District, and not employed by the District. Application deadline is Friday, January 27.

A two-member subcommittee will review the submitted applications and select qualified candidates to be interviewed in-person at a Special Board Meeting to be held on February 7, 2023 at 5:30 p.m. in the MUSD Board Room at Randall Elementary World Languages School.
