Spring Concert: Cantata Sueños

Montview’s Westminster Choir is delighted to present the Colorado Premiere of Mexican Composer Arturo Márquez’s cantata for peace and justice, entitled “Sueños” (Dreams). The work sets texts by Mexican poet Guillermo Velázquez, Chief Seattle, Mahatma Gandhi and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. to Márquez’s highly evocative music. A Columbine 25th Year Remembrance

Tomorrow, April 19 | 7:30pm (Colorado Capitol)


A vigil to mark the 25th Anniversary of the Columbine High School shooting will be held on the west steps of the Capitol tomorrow evening at 7:30pm. For more details, including plans to carpool from Montview, click here.

Pathfinders


Pathfinders is a lively group of women who come together on the 2nd Friday of the month at noon in the McCollum Room for socialization and learning experiences. Volunteer for Hope Communities


Montview mission partner Hope Communities operates a bi-weekly food bank on Wednesday mornings. Montview grant funds will help to support these events on May 1, May 15 and May 29. Volunteers are needed! To learn more or to sign up for a volunteer shift, visit the Hope Communities Signup page and choose the Food Distribution Worker option.

Sunday School at Montview


On Sunday, April 14, we looked again at the familiar story of Jesus and disciples on the road to Emmaus. We had matzo and grapes for snack to follow the story. We did a prayer wheel and foil rubbing projects and looked at images of The Praying Hands. Read more HERE.

Montview's Immigration Task Force has begun helping a couple of migrant families assimilate in Denver. Here's one way you can help: Miker Silva needs a job. He is a construction worker with experience in carpentry, drywall, tiling and flooring. Learn more HERE.

Welcome Baskets

 

We have already given EIGHT cleaning baskets to Venezuelan families moving into their own homes! Now we need to fill more. We will provide the baskets if you can help to fill them. Pick several cleaning items from our list and drop them into one of the baskets in the Commons. And thank you!
