“Enjoy a summer afternoon stroll along the banks of the Sugar River"
“Summer afternoon... summer afternoon; to me
those have always been the two most
beautiful words in the English language"

Henry James
The packed calendar of summer events enhances that experience despite a few challenges of traffic, crowds and construction. The greater Lake Sunapee region is a “destination” for others seeking the livable, lovable aspects of our sanctuary from mountain top to water's edge. All the things that centuries of homesteaders cherished and drew others to settle here in the first place.

The New Phase of Clean Energy
Thursday, August 4, 2022
7:00 PM - 8:00 PM at LSPA

Join LSPA and Sam Evans Brown, Executive Director, Clean Energy NH, for an informative and meaningful discussion about renewable energy technologies and the potential they hold to positively impact climate change.

Sam Evans Brown will share on how the prices of renewable energy technologies have declined precipitously over the last ten years. This has resulted in massive disruption in the energy sector and is leading us to rethink both the narrative of what will be needed to fight climate change and the policies that should be put in place to unlock the potential of this historic moment.

RETURN TO OZ

Dorothy returns to the magic land in hopes of finding her friends once again, but somehow the Emerald City has lost its sparkle and a new witch is in town is ready to rumble. While magic powers and flying monkeys can seem scary, friendship always wins over witches in the magic land of Oz.

Adults $10 | Students (K-12) $7 | Children under 5 have free admission.

The CIRCUS IS COMING to TOWN!… New London Town, that is.
New London Hospital is thrilled to present a brand new addition to Hospital Days 2022: Stars Above: An All-American Circus! All Stars Above performances will occur within walking distance to Hospital Days at the Colby-Sawyer College Quad.

Stars Above is an outdoor family friendly circus show created by Drama Desk nominees and founders of Hideaway Circus, Josh & Lyndsay Aviner. Set to original music and reimagined cover songs, Stars Above is a modern take on the nostalgic small touring. Featuring an all-star cast of circus performers and musicians, the show centers around a day in the life of a traveling family troupe. Combining elements of contemporary and classical circus, Stars Above explores and celebrates our interwoven connections to loved ones, community, and what we’ve lost. The all-ages production is performed outdoors, under the vast canopy of sky and stars, on a custom-built circular stage and aerial rig.
