From the Desk of Mrs. Tiezzi
Dear St. Rita Parents/Guardians,
I hope this first newsletter of the 2022-2023 school year finds you and your child/ren well and enjoying a much-needed summer vacation. The past six weeks have flown by rather quickly as our summer camp program was in session. Our campers were excited to be with their friends and teachers and learn some new and exciting things.
Summertime is also the time that we make improvements to our facility and that is happening currently. Our internet service has been upgraded to 1GB and all new access points will be installed in time for the start of school. Currently we have three classrooms getting new floors and paint. We have recently begun our summer cleaning and preparing the school for the new year. Everything will be ready for the opening of school at the end of the month.
As we have done for the past few years, Tuesday August 30 will be our soft opening day. Parents are asked to drive their child to school that day during the designated time slot (see below) and assist your child in locating his/her classroom, meet his/her teacher and bring in his/her supplies. The first full day of school will be Wednesday, August 31. Bus transportation, before care, after care, and hot lunch will be available for students beginning on Wednesday, August 31.
Classroom assignments will be available to our families on Monday, August 29 after 5:00 P.M. in order for students to know where to report on soft opening day. Please look for the email with your family information on Friday, August 26 to access your log-in information on our school portal. Also, at that time update your family emergency contact information on the portal.
Many of the COVID protocols we had in place last year such as arrival & dismissal procedures, disinfecting and sanitizing procedures, hand washing, staying home when sick, and aftercare pick-up worked well and will remain in place. The health and safety of our St. Rita students and faculty continues to be my highest priority. Any new COVID protocols will be sent to you before the start of school.
Thank you for entrusting your child/children to our care. Please share with your friends and neighbors all the great things that are happening at St. Rita School. Best wishes for a safe and relaxing end of summer. We look forward to partnering with you and your child for the upcoming school year.
God Bless,
Mrs. Tiezzi
