I was looking at the 2022 Yearly Planner [wall calendar] that hangs behind my computer and a wave of sadness washed over me. The year is more than half over. Insert gut punch. It shouldn't come as such a surprise. But the reality of the number of days remaining in 2022 sat starring at me and I could no longer chant the internal mantra, "we still have time"...or, "there's lots of summer left". All of our conversations have begun to shift to the fair and to Oktoberfest and to Let It Glow. All of these events signal the latter half of the year, and for a brief moment, there was sadness.
However, the reality of what we've accomplished this year fills me with hope and joy and a reminder that when we band together, we can do some pretty cool stuff! That being said, let's talk Wal Co Fair...and Oktoberfest...and Let It Glow!
These events highlight opportunity for businesses, nonprofits and civic groups to engage our community [and those who travel to see us] to share what's happening in our area! So get excited, rally your troops and join us on festival grounds to showcase what Elkhorn has to offer!
Up next? One of the longest-standing traditions in our area, the Walworth County Fair! This year the fair welcomes back prime entertainment, revved tractors and barns full of animals. And once again they'll set beer tents on the grounds. The Elkhorn Chamber invites you to bring a group of colleagues, friends or family and fundraise while pouring beers for guests at the 173 Walworth County Fair! We're so grateful to WCF for creating space to earn dollars and enjoy the community at the largest county fair in the state!
To learn more about this opportunity and shift availability please contact chamber staff at 262-723-5788 or email kate@elkhornchamber.com.
Team building comes in all shapes and sizes, this one just happens to take place behind the bar!
