Because Lutherans know Forward in Faith takes many forms.  The renovations continue their forward march! Restrooms are getting the most attention now, with inline water heaters, expanded stalls, and brand new fixtures. The crowning jewel of the Fellowship Hall, the beautiful cross, was finished just as Christmas came. We continue to be blessed by tenacious contractors, gifted artisans, and our awesome Build Team! We are better together.

BEING THE CHURCH

MEET EMANUEL'S LUTHERAN

DAY SCHOOL DIRECTOR

Katie Brawner

Hello! My name is Katie! I am the Director of Emanuel's Lutheran Day School, and have been on staff here for just about 2 years now. I am so happy I get to be part of the Emanuel's family, and lead our school to succeed!

I have a husband, 3 awesome kiddos, and another on the way!

The Day School is a community-wide ministry of Emanuel's Lutheran Church, striving to develop well rounded students and provide families with a quality educational experience. Emanuel's Lutheran Church has been a leader in early childhood development for over 50 years. The doors to the first kindergarten in Seguin were opened at Emanuel's in 1949 and our dedication to the community continues. There are currently 73 students in 9 classrooms with 21 teachers and 2 administrators.

The Day School Board of Directors entered its inaugural year in January of 2022. The Board of Directors consists of a minimum of 5 members elected by the ELC Council for a three-year term. Board members can consist of ELDS parents in good standing, ELC church members, ELDS staff in good standing, prospective parents nominated from ELC congregation, ELC family members of an enrolled child, and/or a pastor or Church Council member of ELC. The operation of ELDS is overseen by the Board of Directors including but not limited to all matters of policy, budgets, expenditures of funds, and hiring and firing of staff.

You can learn more about the Day School on their website at www.EmanuelsLutheranDaySchool.com or on Facebook.
