Local Schools Highlight

Air Base K-8 Center made a Promise Tree that has students state a promise to the Earth as each student hangs a fabric strip to the rope, each child is reminded of their personal commitment. All of the strips are hung in one tree all year, every year, to symbolize the school's united effort to make the environment better.

Some pledges shared by the VPK students to care for our planet earth included vowing to keep the water and lights turned off when not using them at school and home.
