Dear Seniors & Families,

We know that many of you experienced a range of emotions this month! By April 1, you should receive all of your college decisions. We highly encourage you to wait for all of your acceptances and financial aid officers before making your final decision and committing to ONE college by their respective deposit deadline.

We understand that there have been significant delays and issues with the new FAFSA. Colleges continue to extend deadlines so that students can make an informed decision. The UCs just announced that they are extending the deadline for students to submit their FAFSA to May 2nd and their deposit deadline is May 15th.

This month's newsletter contains important reminders, scholarships, and information about pursuing a college waitlist.

Italian Catholic Federation Scholarship

Deadline: April 1, 2024

Each year the Italian Catholic Federation awards approximately 150 scholarships in the amount of $400 to high school seniors.

Balanced Man Scholarship

Sigma Phi Epsilon is proud to offer the Balanced Man Scholarship at over 140 universities to student leaders this year! This is a great opportunity for students entering college in Fall 2024. Filipino Advocates for Justice (FAJ) Scholarships

Deadline: April 7, 2024 11PM PST

Filipino Advocates for Justice (FAJ) is accepting applications for 2 scholarships for Filipino high school seniors graduating in the spring of 2024. The Soledad Fernandez Scholarship ($5000 for 1 year) and the Natividad Revelar Scholarship ($5,000/yr for 4 years, for a total of $20,000).

Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers Scholarships (SHPE)

Deadline: April 14, 2024

SHPE offers scholarships to graduating Hispanic high school seniors beginning a STEM undergraduate career at a community college or 4-year university.

Big Sun Scholarship

The BigSun Organization offers an annual scholarship to a deserving student. All student-athletes are eligible regardless of the sport they are engaged in or the capacity in which they participate. The student must be a high school senior or be attending a post-secondary institute.
