Welcome Alumni, Class of 2021
On May 15, 2021 Vandebilt Catholic held its 54th Baccalaureate Mass and Commencement Ceremony at the Houma-Terrebonne Civic Center. The 138 graduates were offered a reported $7.9 million in scholarships from colleges, universities, and from the TOPS program. This averages over $57,000 per graduate! Congrats to our newest alumni, Class of 2021!

Vandebilt Catholic will be hosting the inaugural President's Banquet on June 5, which will encompass awarding two annual Vandebilt Catholic awards and one new award for the 20-21 school year. There is still a limited number of seats available to the public. All guests are required to R.S.V.P. to Betsy Breerwood at bbreerwood@vchterriers.org in order to attend.   

New Teacher and Teacher of the Year

On May 18, as part of the Underclassmen Award ceremony, Vandebilt Catholic presented the Brother Alfred Kolb New Teacher and Teacher of the Year awards for both the 19-20 and 20-21 school years.

Congratulations to Mrs. Erica Babin '06, 20-21 New Teacher of the Year, Mr. David Malone, 20-21 Teacher of the Year, Brother Ronald Travers, 19-20 New Teacher of the Year, and Mrs. Marion Larke, 19-20 Teacher of the Year. Also recognized, were the nominees for 20-21 New Teacher of the Year: Mr. Jeremy Duplantis and nominees for 20-21 Teacher of the Year: Mr. Phil Amedee, Ms. Katie Donovan, and Mrs. Kelsi Mason.

Terrier Cheerleaders Win National Championship

On April 23-25, the competition cheer team traveled to Orlando, FL to compete in the UCA National High School Cheerleading Championship. The team earned the Division II Super Varsity Game Day National Championship title, as well as a third place finish in Division II Large Varsity! Congratulations to head coach, Kayla Vicknair, assistant coaches and the entire terrier cheer team!



Girls Track Team Wins First State Championship in School History

The girls track and field team won the LHSAA Class 4A state championship for the first time in school history on May 8 at LSU. Junior, Emery Prentice had first-place finishes in pole vault and triple jump. Her pole vault mark set a new Class 4A composite record of 13 feet, 06.25 inches. Junior, Ella Chestnut won the 1600-meter and 3200-meter runs. Other first place finishes were sophomore, Brynn Kelso in the 800-meter run and the 4x800 meter relay of Brynn Kelso, Ella Chestnut, sophomore, Logan Hamilton and sophomore, Laura Seibert. Brynn Kelso had a second-place finish in the 1600-meter run and the 4x100 meter relay of Emery Prentice, senior, Kenadi Labat, senior, Madison Richoux and sophomore, Morgan Haydel placed second as well. The team previously earned District and Regional Championship titles for the 20-21 season. Congratulations to head coach, Jeremey Ezell, assistant coaches, and the entire girls track and field team!

  
End of the Year Awards and Honors
Seniors were honored at the Senior Honors Convocation held on May 12. Students were awarded for accomplishments such as Academic Lettering, National Honor Society, President's Award for Academic Excellence, Honor Graduate status, and Club or Class Presidency. The awards below are some of the top honors of the night.
