This month, our Program Director Kristen Ruhl shares her reflections on the success of the Money Coach program, the importance of listening to the communities we serve, and how we can respond to big problems by thinking small. Read her blog post.
We're honored by our longstanding partnerships with the African American and Hispanic Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) at Northwestern Mutual. In addition to connecting numerous NM employees as volunteers, the two ERGs successfully nominated SecureFutures for grant funding as part of Northwestern Mutual's Days of Sharing program in 2020. Hear from ERG members about why they're excited about this ongoing partnership.
Congratulations to Bill Nasgovitz, who was recognized with the Governor's Financial Literacy Award for his years of support and lead sponsorship of our Money Path program! Bill and his wife Marian, along with his firm, Heartland Advisors, have been tireless champions for financial literacy, education, and capability for decades. Bill has served on the SecureFutures Advisory Council since inception, and has supported financial empowerment programming across our community. Thank you to Governor Tony Evers, the Wisconsin Department of Financial Institutions, and the Governor's Council on Financial Literacy and Capability for recognizing Bill's impact on the financial health of our state!
Thank you for helping teens become #FinanciallyFearless!
We're so grateful for everyone who has participated in our #FinanciallyFearless campaign this year for Financial Literacy Month, including those who have fundraised, donated, or joined us in celebrating at Indeed Brewing. Thanks to you, we've raised $7,910 from 65 donors, as well as close to $1500 through the Indeed event, which puts us over halfway to our goal of $15,000. There are still four days left in April - can you chip in with a gift today?

As we expand Money Path throughout Wisconsin, we've continued to see educator response from across the state with the opportunity to reach 5,302 teens in 2020-2021 so far! Take a look at our map tracker showing our reach.
Save the dates!
Don't forget to register and mark your calendars for these exciting events!
