SERVICE SPOTLIGHT
Aledo Parent-Teacher Organization and parents in Aledo ISD contributed to a food drive for our Manna Room! We now have a good grocery supply to get struggling families in Parker County through the holidays. Thank you for your generosity!
WHAT'S HAPPENING
BLANKET DRIVE
FOR CHRISTMAS EVENT AT CENTER OF HOPE

Aledo UMC is collecting new, full/queen size blankets for the Christmas Event at Center of Hope. Approximately 500 new blankets, provided by COH and AUMC, will be given away on Saturday, December 19th, from 9:00am to 5:00pm. Families in need will be given 3 tickets to choose 3 items (gloves, hats socks, toys, blankets, etc) from the booths, plus family food boxes, hot chocolate, cookies, and crafts for kids will be provided.  

Aledo UMC helpers are needed for 2-hour shifts, to man our booth and give away blankets. Sign-up in the Narthex or email Trudy Smith.
HANGING OF THE GREENS
Sunday, November 29th, 11:00am
This year we will holding our Hanging of the Greens service during our 11am Sanctuary Service. Celebrate with us as we decorate our sanctuary for the upcoming advent season.
BECAUSE OF CHRISTMAS: LOVE IS BORN, HOPE IS HERE
Mondays, November 30th, December 7th, 14th, 21st
9:30-10:45am and 7:00-8:15pm
This is a four week study (based on the Max Lucado book) of Jesus’ birth and the significance of the manger for us today. The study will be held via Zoom and you can join either the morning sessions or the evening. Email Trudy Smith if you’re interested. This study is open to all!  
SANTA'S DRIVE-THRU GROTTO
Saturday, December 5th, 10:00am-12:00pm
We are having a Drive-Thru Grotto, similar to Trunk or Treat, and are in need of 12 volunteers. Volunteers will be needed for directing traffic, answering questions and waving. All gifts will be provided by the church.

Also, save-the-date, come be a part of this amazing event with your whole family. A fun, safe way for your family to see Santa. Santa will be here for a Covid friendly picture opportunity, multiple drive-through stations...
