Supporting the Foundations of
Cultural Infrastructure
Initiative
Alleviating the financial impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic for Canadian not-for-profit professional arts and heritage organizations.

The Canada Cultural Spaces Fund (CCSF)
supports the improvement of physical conditions for arts, heritage culture, and creative innovation.

The Fund supports renovation and construction projects, the acquisition of specialized equipment, and feasibility studies related to cultural spaces.
Federal organizations and Crown Corporations are not eligible for funding.

Application Deadline
The CCSF receives applications on an ongoing basis.
How to Apply
Interested applicants should contact a CCSF program officer at their nearest regional office of the Department of Canadian Heritage prior to submitting an application.

REFBC funds can be allocated to staffing and program delivery, project coordination, communications, consultant fees, convening and workshops, travel, Indigenous ceremony and cultural protocols, honoraria, and building cultural competency.

IS YOUR MISSION TO END FOOD INSECURITY?

The Local Food Infrastructure Fund supports community-based, not-for-profit organizations in creating or improving their food systems through investments in infrastructure that directly relate to addressing food insecurities and increasing the accessibility of healthy, nutritious and local foods within their community.

Eligibility
 Applicants must fall within at least one of the following categories:
rural communities
small cities
(population between 1,000-29,999)
Indigenous groups in
urban or rural areas
Indigenous governments/communities Indigenous not-for-profit organizations

Eligible projects must create 2 or more new food system components
A local food system could include, but is not limited to:
Production
growing
harvesting
traditional methods of gathering food
food forests
green energy systems
irrigation systems

traditional methods of transforming food
cooking/baking
canning
smoking
dehydration/drying
preservation
butchering
Distribution/Storage
packaging

The Vancity Community Partnership Program (CPP)

Provides low barrier, responsive grants up to $25,000 for projects that improve financial resilience, reduce carbon emissions, and advance Racial Justice and Reconciliation.

Supporting community-based ideas that remove systemic barriers to economic well-being and opportunity.
We want to work with organizations implementing solutions that help equity deserving groups and local organizations build financial resilience to safeguard against the climate crisis, life’s emergencies, reduce the risk of financial hardship, and withstand financial shocks. This includes marginalized, racialized, underrepresented or vulnerable people to ensure that no one is left behind as we transition to a clean economy.

Green and Inclusive Community Buildings

The Green and Inclusive Community Buildings (GICB) program aims to build more community buildings and improve existing ones.

1st pillar of the Strengthened Climate Plan

green and accessible retrofits
repairs or upgrades of existing public community buildings
the construction of new publicly-accessible community buildings

Infrastructure Canada invites municipal or regional governments, public sector bodies, not-for-profit organizations, provincial or territorial governments, and Indigenous recipients to apply for funding for eligible projects.
Please note that individuals and for-profit organizations are not eligible to apply.
Application Intake Streams
Continuous Intake
small & medium retrofit projects to existing community buildings
total eligible cost from $100,000 to $3 million
funded on a rolling intake basis.
Scheduled Intake
large retrofit projects to existing community buildings or new community building
total eligible costs ranging from $3 million to $25 million will be accepted through a competitive intake process.
deadline for receipt of applications for the scheduled intake stream is July 6, 2021, 23:59 PDT.
