Watch the Mayor & City Council ring in the new year

New City Manager starts this week

Robert "Bob" Curnow, MPA, begins work in his new role this week -- Peachtree City's City Manager.


Curnow comes from the City of Coral Springs, Florida, where he previously served as Deputy City Manager. Bob joined Coral Springs in 2012, where he served in the Information Technology Division. He later held the roles of Assistant City Manager and, ultimately, Deputy City Manager. 

Bob holds many designations, including Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), and Certified Government Chief Information Officer (CGCIO).


During his tenure with Coral Springs, he supervised Public Works, Development Services, Information Technology, Finance, Office of Innovation, Project Management, Building Department, and Inter-Governmental Relations.


A proud public servant, Bob’s entire professional career has been spent working in some form of government.


He started his career with Broward County Water and Wastewater Services in 1989, and later joined the Fort Lauderdale Police Department’s Technical Service Unit in 2000. He also served as the local agency security officer, ensuring FDLE compliance and maintaining the confidentiality and integrity of Police technical systems.

 

Bob seized the many opportunities offered to further his education. He attended Barry University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Information Technology and a master’s degree in Public Administration.

 

Bob and his wife Jacki have two sons, Jaxon and Jordan. Bob and Jacki are passionate about physical fitness and being active. They enjoy CrossFit and running.

The Holocaust in Historical Context

at the Peachtree City Library

On Friday, January 13th, the Peachtree City Library will host a program presented by the Georgia Commission on the Holocaust called "The Holocaust in Historical Context."


This event will take place at 11 AM and you do not have to register to attend. You are invited to take a look at the historical context of the Holocaust with the help of historian and educator Patrice Weaver.

Peachtree City produced the official SPLOST manual for voters to learn about the Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax and how the community benefits from it.
