Do you know that millions of eligible voters don’t know they can register and vote? Field Team 6 partner Democrats Abroad is the expert in registering US citizens living in other countries and providing them with the resources they need to vote. They are the official Democratic Party arm for the millions of Americans living outside the United States. Their mission is to elect Democratic candidates by mobilizing the overseas vote.

They estimate approximately 1.8 million eligible American voters living abroad received ballots in 2020, compared to 930,156 ballots received in 2016. Remarkably, 50% of these ballots were sent back to battleground states. Their goal is to double it again for 2024. Which means it’s all hands on deck to register more Democrats wherever they live!

Our biggest event of the year is coming up this Thursday, 3/14 – the Register Democrats Summit 2024 – and we’re super grateful to Democrats Abroad for sponsoring our must-see “Meet the Candidates” panel. One year ago, we took a chance and launched something so crazy, only FT6 could pull it off: a day-long virtual event aimed at stopping the GOP from destroying America and democracy. We called it the Register Democrats Summit. And in the midterms, we turned back the Red Wave. Apparently, it worked! So this year, we decided to do it again... only biggerer and betterer.

For Part Deux, we're lining up a veritable cavalcade of stars. New confirmed speakers include Senator Jacky Rosen (D-NV), Democratic strategist Simon Rosenberg (Hopium Chronicles), and Former Navajo Nation President and current Congressional candidate Jonathan Nez (AZ-02), and Ellie Kerns, running Montana House District 53!

We'll also feature comedian Matthew Moore hosting Laugh Yourself Blue - Improv for Activists, inspiring candidate Will Rollins who's running for Congress in CA-41, and Democratic messaging guru Jen Ancona (Way to Win), who will be speaking on our "Why We'll Win" panel, moderated by social media star & political influencer Sylvia Salazar (@tono.latino on Instagram)!

At our 2024 Strategy Briefing, we revealed groundbreaking metrics on what you – our incredible volunteers and donors – achieved in the 2022 cycle, and how it literally defined a new model of success. 

The briefing was chock full of eye-opening (and spirit-raising) stats like this: after Field Team 6 outreach to 5 million people, over 1.57 million (31.5%) registered as a Democrat or independent. In other words, for every three people we reached, one registered.
