HELP FEED LOCAL CHILDREN THIS SUMMER

through the

FEED & READ PROGRAM

During the school year, students eat free/reduced price meals during the week, and many have TCHP meals on the weekends. Kids look forward to summer break, yet many children lose access to food. TCHP coordinates with local organizations like United Way of Brevard every year to help feed kids during the summer, because...hunger doesn't take the summer off.

The Feed and Read program provides a meal and volunteers to read aloud to children. The program aims to reduce hunger and reading loss during the summer through providing nutrition, mentors for kids struggling with their reading, and free books.

WHO ARE THE WING BATTLE WINNERS? OUR KIDS!

The true winners of the 2021 Space Coast Wing Battle are hungry kids on the Space Coast. Did you know that over 50% of school children locally are on the free and reduced lunch program? That’s a key indicator of children who are often at risk of weekend hunger. This year’s Wing Battle was truly memorable on so many levels, and the comments from attendees were glowing. More importantly, the cause it supported – feeding hungry kids – will bring a smile to young faces who now have one less uphill battle to face.

Staci Sullivan's Jewelry & Design Studio May-mentous Fun-Raiser to End Child Hunger in Brevard

During the entire month of May, Staci Sullivan's Jewelry & Design Studio will be giving back to the community by supporting The Children's Hunger Project. Jewelry or jewelry repair is a great gift this month for women who have inspired you - Your Mom, Mother-In-Law, Fiancé, Girlfriend, Daughter, Sister, Aunt, Teacher or Friend.

Volunteer, share our mission with others, and make a monthly donation of any amount.

Just 12.50 per month (less than 42 cents per day) feeds one child on weekends for an entire school year!

For those who can make a significant contribution, consider joining the Children’s Circle of Hope Society - this society is open to anyone contributing $1,000 or more annually. Contributions can be set up on a recurring basis of $84 per month.
