Welcome New Program Coordinator!
Putri is proud to be a Food and Farming Program Coordinator at the Ecology Center, where she strives to create equitable access to healthy and delicious food for families across California. The newest addition to the team, she holds a BIS in Elementary Education from Virginia Commonwealth University, with past experience teaching in Title I schools and working as the farm manager of a permaculture food forest on the North Shore of O’ahu, Hawai’i.

Born and raised in Jakarta, Indonesia, Putri believes strongly in the importance of food culture to one’s sense of identity and rootedness – food is not only nourishment but a tether to our community and to the living planet beneath our feet. She is eager to be working towards food justice alongside the rest of the incredible team at the Ecology Center.
Alliance Seeks Steering Committee Members
The California Alliance of Farmers’ Markets Steering Committee will help to execute the Alliance's goals of focusing on advocacy, professional development, marketing and consumer education, and access to healthy food. Additionally they will provide program direction and governance for the Alliance while seeking to ensure that the Alliance is fulfilling its mission and growing to be a stronger and more influential group.

We encourage farmers, farmers market vendors, market operators, market managers, and non-profit or government professionals active in agriculture and the food system in California to apply. Committee members will serve two-year terms. The Committee will meet at least four times each year and there will be bi-monthly subcommittee meetings as needed to fulfill project deliverables.

To apply, please email rosio@ecologycenter.org with a resume and letter of interest. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.
Anti-Racist Farmers Market Toolkit
The Farmers Market Coalition's Anti-Racist Farmers Market Toolkit is now available for download.

Developed by a group of Black food system leaders and experts, the Anti-Racist Farmers Market Toolkit offers ways for managers to reflect the concepts of anti-racism within their farmers market organizations and to make necessary adjustments to the structure, design, and operations of the market itself.
