Quote of the week:
"Learn to work harder on yourself than you do on your job. If you work hard on your job you can make a living, but if you work hard on yourself then you'll make a fortune."

Interview Jeremiah Andrews with Cedar River Wedding & Event Venue

Jeremiah Andrews with Cedar River Wedding & Event Venue offers a splendid location for couples to have their dream wedding. Free-spirited, and artistic are just two of the words that Andrews describes this venue. Everything on the property has been created out of repurposed materials. They have been in business since 2014. It’s a one-stop shop, where they provide photography, tables, chairs, and the venue. If you are a nature lover this might just be the place for you!

During the height of COVID-19, they did face a few challenges such as clients not being able to keep their appointments. However, throughout this season, they have been busier than usual.

Throughout Andrews's time working in photography, he has learned a few things "In general, don’t be the first to speak. Listen to their needs instead of what you think they want. It’s a good thing to make mistakes that you can learn from. Being in photography, there is value in connecting with people that have already gone through those mistakes."

Jeremiah Andrews shares that his wife is one of his biggest inspirations "She is motivated to make things happen. She has a background in business development and marketing, always thinking a step ahead."

Interview with Jacki Mansour with Blue Bamboo

Blue Bamboo produces social media videos for small businesses.
Jacki Mansour's goal is to distribute those videos on multiple social media platforms to reach their audience.

Being passionate about your business is highly important, and that is what Jacki values in her clients! "I like digging deep in their business to find the value they offer to others and then build videos that reflect the business". Through this, it is easy to see that Blue Bamboo wants clients to positively shine in their videos.

Covid-19 has had a positive effect on Blue Bamboo since more businesses are needing more social media content. Throughout this pandemic social media has been on a rise!

We asked Jacki what current actions she has been taking to reach the demand of her clients: "I have changed the video packages I offer to accommodate businesses going through a unique challenge like COVID. By making this alteration, it is the #1 package that is helping my clients increase sales, increase awareness and find the best people in their industry to work for them."

Throughout the year of her business, Jacki has learned to set boundaries for herself. It is okay to tell people "no", even if it is difficult. Time has value, it is important to make sure that you also have time for yourself!

What is inspiring to Jacki today?
"My kids. They find joy in simple things. I want to find joy in the little things and the big things."
