Step Up Celebration at Bali Hai
Tuesday, September 14th, 2021
 
In September we hosted an outdoor happy hour buzzing with amazing entertainment, community collaboration, silent auction, wonderful guest speakers & the beautiful view from the Bali Hai Restaurant. This event highlighted our 20 Step Up Partner Nonprofits working together to better serve San Diego, and was the official Step Up kick-off!

Weekly Step Up
Prayer Walks
UPLIFT Board Member Dr. Ethel & Pastor Thomas Sims of CK Connections, led a Step Up Prayer Walk every Saturday morning July through Sept along the Seaport Village Boardwalk.

Fitness Coach Trena Bennett of Gospelcise Ministries joined us for post Prayer Walk stretching & stair climb practice. What a blessed way to start our beautiful San Diego weekends!

Step Up Stair Climb Event
San Diego Convention Center Bayside Stairs
October 1st and 2nd
In 8 hours, over 2 days, 105 Participants
​CLIMBED 708 FLIGHTS OF STAIRS,
RAISING $14,160 for
20 Partner Nonprofits!

Each participating stair climber earned $20 per flight climbed, sponsored by an Angel Donor, at no cost to the climber, to benefit a charity from the list of 20 Step Up Partner Nonprofits selected by the Team Captains.

Downtown San Diego Partnership Clean & Safe Family Reunification

Clean & Safe Family Reunification Program reconnects homeless individuals with their families and loved ones across the country. Since 2012, more than 3,000 people have been assisted through the Family Reunification Program.

Four Blocks for Kids' Turn San Diego
Kids’ Turn San Diego was created in 1996 with a mission of “promoting, supporting and securing the well-being of children who are experiencing family separation." We change family relationships in positive ways so children experiencing family separations have happier childhoods and brighter futures.

Blue Wagon Ministry
Providing Christ-centered services the poor, hungry, and unsheltered homeless in Downtown & Balboa Park 3 days a week, connecting to housing resources & case management through outreach delivering an average of 700 meals a week.

I Love a Clean San Diego
100% of your gift stays local and supports environmental education and pollution prevention activities for youth and adults throughout San Diego County. I Love A Clean San Diego empowers people to improve the health and beauty of our local environment through community programs, education and a regional recycling resources.

San Diego Social Leagues
San Diego Social Leagues is a nonprofit 501C(3), community building organization that passionately believes in the transformative power of sports; that we can bring people together and strengthen our communities particularly those that are underserved.

Since 1983, the Ladle Fellowship has served San Diego's most vulnerable, the Homeless Community with hot meals & clothing.

San Diego Council on Literacy
We are fundraising to support our Affiliates & facilitate our book giveaways. SDCOL has distributed more than 218,000 new donated books valued at $1.9 million in 2021.  

Salvation Army San Diego
Always on the front lines with shelter, food distribution and other necessities to families, seniors and children, COVID response has increased demand for Salvation Army services by nearly 300% since the start of pandemic!

Humble Design San Diego
Humble Design changes lives and communities by furnishing the homes of families and veterans emerging from homelessness. Togetherness to end homelessness. $5,000 = Fully furnished and personalize home for a family of 5!

Mustard Seed Project
At Mustard Seed Project, we strive for a world in which all individuals have the right to basic needs, comfort in their own personal safety, and opportunity to rise above their situation.

Swish Foundation
San Diego-based Pro-Am basketball league for high-caliber players from top Southern California colleges and high school programs, plus select-game appearances by pro players from NBA, G-League, European and other pro leagues around the world.

STAR/PAL
Mission: to empower underserved youth to build a safer and more prosperous community by engaging with law enforcement in positive recreational activities & collaborative community partners.

One Digital World
One Digital World empowers self-reliance by training refugees and asylum seekers, including new Afghan resettlement refugees. in digital literacy and language skills. Students learn necessary critical thinking, problem-solving, and resource finding skills while preparing to integrate into a new country and culture.
