May is Better Speech & Hearing Month (AKA Speech Therapy Month)
Speech Language Pathologists (aka Speech Therapists) work on speech, language, social communication, cognitive communication, and swallowing disorders in children and adults. Join us again this year for the Midlands Gives Power Hour, 10-11am on Tuesday, May 3rd!
Every dollar raised will go toward upgrading our playground (shade, equipment, accessible). 🌞🕶 We have a $10,000 match so please help us get every dollar!
Aflac is donating $2,000 prizes for the power hour (most individual donations in the hour) and we’ve chosen 10-11am as you’ve helped us win it 4 of 5 years it has been available!

The 2022 Miracles in Motion 5k Walk, Run, & Roll Heroes Edition
Grab your running/walking shoes or wheels, your best hero costume, a bright smile, and meet us at The Therapy Place on Saturday, May 7th, for the 2022 Miracles in Motion 5k. All our favorite community heroes will be in attendance!

Teacher Appreciation Week Starting May 2nd
Thank you to Lindsey and Morgan, our teachers of the Bridges Preschool Program, for making learning fun throughout each school day! We are so grateful to have them part of our Therapy Place team. Help us celebrate them, and all teachers, throughout this week!

At our after school program, TTP Connections, we work on team building and socialization with peers.

We are hosting family support groups here at TTP on Sundays from 2-4pm.
Childcare and snacks are provided. Parents/caregivers may relax, commiserate, listen or spill your guts, up to you! Some days, we may have a special topic/guest speaker, some days may be open for pure support conversation.
Please note, we will not have family support group on Sunday, May 29th on Memorial Day Weekend

Need for Speed will be at the Miracles in Motion 5k!
Need for Speed is an organization that raises awareness and fosters inclusion of those with a special need through participation in fitness events supported by the men of F3 nation.
They push Track Commanders (riders with a special need) in customized racing wheelchairs to help them participate in and complete fitness events suchs ask 5ks - experiences that they would not be able to have on their own.

Only 3 of our Honor/Memory Benches Remain! |
If you haven't already, there's still time to secure a TTP bench in honor or memory of a loved one. These benches will be placed throughout the playground, outdoor field, front porch, etc. to offer places of communion and friendship.
So far, we have benches secured for the following:
