From Mayor Leonard Desiderio...
At 12 noon on Tuesday, I was honored to host a dedication ceremony at our Municipal Marina in memory of Sea Isle’s longtime Marina Supervisor and past Fire Chief, Frank Edwardi, Sr. It was wonderful to see such a large crowd of people at the ceremony, including Frank’s wife, Kathy, and other members of the Edwardi family. Also present were representatives from our Volunteer Fire Department and many others who admired Chief Edwardi, including Mike and Jeannie Monichetti, who arranged for a banner plane to fly by, which read “We Love You Cheech!” During the ceremony, we unveiled a new sign to make everyone aware that our marina is now known as the “Frank P. Edwardi, Sr. Sea Isle City Marina” – a fitting tribute to a man who served our community for many years.

From The Members of City Council...
At the start of the July 26 City Council meeting, Mayor Desiderio explained the two funding ordinances (1687 and 1688) that were being introduced on that day – and that collectively they would fund important improvement projects and necessary purchases for our town, all of which are in-step with our overall capital spending plan. The Mayor also mentioned that at 12 noon that day the Municipal Marina was being dedicated in memory of Frank Edwardi, Sr., Sea Isle City’s former Marina Supervisor and Fire Chief.

In accordance with our typical practice, now that the summer season is here, we try to limit the amount of construction taking place on public property, in order to minimize the disruption to our residents and visitors, as for many, this time of the year is precious.
Please Note: There Have Been No Changes Since The Most Recent Project Updates

Never Enter The Water
Unless a Lifeguard is Present
Please notice the Beach Warning Flags that are mounted to the Lifeguard Stands. The color of the flag indicates the conditions on that beach…
-
GREEN - low hazard (calm conditions, exercise caution)
-
YELLOW - medium hazard (moderate surf and/or currents)
-
RED - high hazard or water closed to public (high surf and/or strong currents)
-
PURPLE - dangerous marine life
Always listen to lifeguard’s whistles and swim directly in front of the lifeguard stand. Guards are aware of ocean hazards such as rip currents, inshore holes, and lateral currents. This awareness enables guards to keep bathers away from these hazards and safe.
Poor or non-swimmers who are using floatation devices, especially a device not attached to the body, should never be more than waist deep in the ocean.
Walk small children to the lifeguard stand and instruct them to go to the stand whenever they are lost.
