The annual DC4KIDS Touchdown Challenge reception was held last month at the beautiful Stockbridge estate. During the event, members and their guests enjoyed music, catered food and a meet-and-greet where Derek took time to sign members’ “swag bag” items. Derek also held a Q&A session at the end of the program that gave members and their guests a chance to ask additional questions.

During the program portion of the evening, Derek thanked DC4KIDS Touchdown Challenge members for their unwavering support, as well as their efforts contributing more than $90,000 during the 2021 football season. This season represented a new season high for funds raised through the DC4KIDS Touchdown Challenge. We would like to thank Derek and Heather Carr, along with each of our DC4KIDS Touchdown Challenge members, for their incredible investment in Valley Children's through this program, and for being an inspiration to help support children's health where they live, learn and play.

Valley Children's thanks the Turlock Pentecost Association (TPA), who held their second annual golf tournament, Festa For The Kids. In Portuguese, “festa” means party or celebration. The event included a silent auction, putting contest, delicious Portuguese food and a wonderful motivational talk by retired NFL star Bubba Paris. This year, the event raised an amazing $50,000 for Valley Children's Pelandale Specialty Care Center in Modesto.

The TPA loves helping their community, and we could not be more grateful for their generosity. Valley Children's thanks the TPA directors, sponsors, participants, guests and volunteers for helping make this year’s event another success.

Valley Children's 8th Annual ABC30 "Futures Worth Fighting For" Telethon is coming up on Thursday, August 11, 2022.
