Self-Advocacy in Cuyahoga County
Join us on Zoom for a conversation about Self-Advocacy in Cuyahoga County on Thursday, February 10 at 11am - 12pm OR 7pm - 8pm.
Anyone in Cuyahoga County who is interested in self-advocacy is invited to tell us about their experiences, the new opportunities they would want to see in the future, and how they want self-advocacy for people with developmental disabilities to grow.

Lorain County Resource Fair

The Lorain County Resource Fair is a free, socially distant, outdoor, public event where families can learn about local resources, therapies, mental health providers, financial aid providers, transitions and summer camps for their child (ages birth - 22) who is struggling (with or without a formal diagnosis). Participants can visit with representatives from a variety of organizations to discuss services and explore program options.
Families who pre-register and attend our in-person fair will be entered to win a $100 VISA gift card. All families will receive a grab & go bag that includes information from our sponsors. In-person attendees will also be able to browse tables, talk to vendors and pick up additional materials that meet their family's needs.

This upcoming meeting provides a nice opportunity to hear from a parent of older girls, as well as the unique perspective of the individuals themselves!
​Monnis and Marissa Pachinger are 25-year-old Autistic twins. They attended Mentor Public Schools, currently work at Menards, and enjoy educating others about Autism. Their mother, Pamela also presents with them, and is a teaching assistant at CARES Autism School in Mentor. 

2022 OAR Scholarship Application Period Open
OAR's Scholarship Program is open now until May 2, 2022. 
This includes OAR's newest scholarship program The Synchrony Scholarship for Autistic Students of Color which provides financial support for students attending any kind of undergraduate postsecondary educational institution.
PBIS Tier II Team Training
SCHOOL-WIDE PBIS TIER II School Team Training - State-approved training modules to support Tier 2 PBIS framework development in your schools. This training is limited to SST Region 9 and Tri-County and Stark County ESC affiliated districts.
