FLW Home Tour

Last call for tickets! This Thursday, November 30, from 4:00-6:00pm, our League will sponsor a tour of the FLW Bagley House in Hinsdale, rediscover the life of an early reformer through an exhibit, and socialize over small bites and refreshments. Tickets are $20. This event is open to League members and their family and friends. The Bagley House, 121 S. County Line Road, Hinsdale, is located on the east side of County Line Road. There is no parking in front of the house, but you can park on the side streets to the north and south of the house. There is a sidewalk on the east side of County Line Road to access the house. You are encouraged to carpool to this event and possibly bring a flashlight for walking down the sidewalk. RSVP by November 28. Go here to purchase tickets. Contact Peggy Kell with questions.

LWV IL is hosting a Voter Service Roundtable on Saturday, December 9, 10:00-11:00am, to prepare for the 2024 election season. They'll go over the election calendar, talk more about the Illinois Voter Guide, candidate forums, our GOTV toolkit and answer questions you may have.  Any League member interested in voter service is welcome to attend. Registration is required.

The Nineteenth Century Organization's Monday Enrichment Series is open to the public. This December, experience the perfect blend of classical charm and holiday cheer with a performance featuring four Lyric Opera singers. Lyric tenor John Concepcion returns to the Nineteenth with colleagues soprano Kim Jones, bass David Govertsen, mezzo-soprano Yvette Smith, and pianist William Billingham. Don’t miss this sensational celebration of music, where the grandeur of opera meets the magic of the holiday season. On Monday, December 18, 1:15pm, you can enjoy this event by going here to register. These enrichment events are free to the public but a voluntary donatiion of $15 is appreciated. You can also enjoy lunch for an additional fee.
