2022 CSA ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING (AGM) AND FCSF FOUNDATION FUNDRAISING AUCTION

The Manitoba Simmental Association is pleased to welcome you all to the 2022 Canadian Simmental Association AGM and National YCSA Show in Portage la Prairie, MB from July 20 - 24, 2022. This event has been two years in the planning and we are excited to have you join us for a time of great tours, fantastic food, top-notch cattle, and fun and fellowship with our Simmental neighbors from across the country!! The herd letter for 2022 is “K”

Total Herd Enrollment (THE) Billing 1^st Installment

Total Herd Enrollment (THE) participants were billed for the 1^st installment on April 1, for the 2022 enrollment. Payment is due upon receipt of invoice. For members with a credit card on file, fees were billed to your credit card at time of billing. The 2^nd THE installment fee will be invoiced on October 3rd.

Please note that if an enrolled cow loses her calf, is shipped, sold or dies between installment billings, the second installment is still due and payable by the member who enrolled her.

Online Members Buyer Numbers for Transfer

Online Members can access their buyers history under online tools – NEW!! Buyer History. This report can be sorted by buyer name, address, Herd (account number), date of sale, gender and number of head. For any new commercial buyers who are on your list, contact our office for their complete address.

2022 YCSA National Classic

2022 National YCSA Show is approaching and the Manitoba YCSA and MSA are hard at working planning a great event. The Show will be July 21-24, 2022 in Portage la Prairie. The registration information will be out later this month, online entries will open May 1^st and close June 10^th. They will be available at www.simmental.com or on the Facebook page.

Accommodations:

There is a block of room at the Canad Inns, room rate is $109 with the group ID#193475 if booked before June 20. To book your room call 1-888-33-CANAD. There is also a campground very close to the barns, the Camp Ground is Island Park Campground, rate is $30/night bookings is now open at www.portageex.com (there is no spots blocked off).

Did you know that if you plan to attend the National Classic and are a YCSA member there is funding available from the YCSA and FCSF to assist in travel? For more information contact Crystal Fisk at cfisk@simmental.com. Contact your provincial YCSA president to hopefully arrange group trucking.
