Whether it be through a sorority or another women’s organization, coming together with other women to simply love one another has the potential to change our worlds—to make us better friends, better sisters, and ultimately, better women.
Wednesday, January 24, 4:30-5:30pm
019 Student Union, Culture & Identity Centers
“Just be confident!” It doesn’t work that way! Confidence is a journey, a long and at times treacherous hike. One with hills, valleys, twists, turns, and no map. While it’s not easy, finding authentic confidence is possible—if we work as a team.
Wednesday, January 24, 7-8pm
160 Student Union, Apollo Room
Join us for this transformative, comforting, and revelatory session which will provide you with practical tools for loving (or at the very least finding a neutral view of) your body!
"Women are made to feel like their bodies are never good enough. The billion-dollar diet industry exists to make women feel like garbage about themselves for having a cookie. Women’s bodies are talked about more than the women who live in them. And we know that that is incredibly unfair and unhealthy, especially for young women. Women deserve to look in the mirror and not feel like shit about themselves. And to learn real, practical ways to talk to each other about our bodies." -- Tina. This event is partially sponsored by Wright Patt Credit Union.
