The Miami-Dade Economic Advocacy Trust invites The Children’s Trust Youth Programs to Power Summit 2022, a FREE youth leadership development conference designed to prepare attendees for economic prosperity. The Summit is scheduled for Wednesday, August 10, at 9 a.m. at Florida International University’s Kovens Conference Center, at 3000 N.E. 151 Street in North Miami.  

 

The Power Summit will include the following breakout sessions: 

• Think About It? – A Mental Health Check-in

• Cryptocurrency- Blockchain Technology

• Law Enforcement Encounters

• Criminal Justice & Legal Career Pathways

• Tech Career Pathways

• Business and Entrepreneurship

The Florida KidCare Coalition of Miami-Dade County is a group of member organizations focused on improving rates of health insurance enrollment and access to health services for children in our community. The Lead Program Officer designs and leads onboarding, professional development, workplans, evaluations, and coaching of site staff. Additionally, in collaboration with program leadership, they support the design, oversight and performance of cross-functional teams advancing major areas of work including recruitment, organizational-wide events, and family services. The Lead Program Officer works with site directors to improve program fidelity, operational efficiencies, leadership and management skills, and the quality of program delivery.

The Director will have primary operational oversight of Breakthrough Miami’s training experiences and contract activities that align with best practices in the field of youth development, education, social emotional wellness, Diversity Equity and Inclusion, and college readiness. The Director will be responsible for leading and managing external training contracts, including Breakthrough Miami’s work as a Trust Academy Quality Assurance Training Partner. The Director will also support impactful professional development for Breakthrough Teaching Fellows, Volunteers, Success Coaches.

The Assistant Site Director (ASD) is responsible for the efficient and effective delivery of programs and services that most directly affect Breakthrough Miami Scholars and families. An ASD oversees campus or site logistics, unpaid student volunteers and some stipended positions, such as Teaching Fellows. As an ambassador of the program, the ASD builds supportive relationships with students, parents, schools, the community and other stakeholders to ensure the academic and socio-enrichment success of all Breakthrough Scholars.

The YWCA is looking for Head Start lead teachers responsible for the overall organization and learning environment of the classroom; working closely with teacher assistants in daily lesson planning and ensuring the health and safety of the children. Candidates must have bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or in a related field with 18 credits of Early Childhood Education coursework: DCF 45 hour training certificate required. New rate is $19.76 per hour FULL-TIME with benefits.

Responsible for assisting Head Start classroom LEAD teachers in the care and development of children enrolled in an early childhood education center as well as maintenance of the classroom. High diploma or GED, and CDA/FCCPC certification required. One/two years experience working with preschool children in a child care facility preferred, preferably in a Head Start program.
