Good Afternoon, Deacs!


You did it! We hope you’re proud of all you’ve accomplished this Fall semester and that you’re enjoying the start of a well-deserved Winter Break full of rest, rejuvenation, and time with loved ones. As our office continues to prepare for the semester ahead, we wanted to offer you the opportunity to prepare as well. As we look to Spring 2024, we encourage you to pencil in important dates on your calendar as you consider your plans for the upcoming semester and the 24-25 academic year. 

Moving Onto Campus for Spring 2024


If you are returning from abroad, CES, etc., and Spring 2024 is the first time you’ll be living on campus for the 2023-24 academic year, please review the check-in timeframes below and plan accordingly. Check-in will take place at the Office of Residence Life and Housing located at the rear of Angelou Hall.

Sunday, January 14 and Monday, January 15

Note: Due to the University holiday on Monday, January 15, there will be no after-hour check-in available on Sunday/Monday and other University services such as Transportation, Dining, and Facilities and Campus Services may be limited.

Returning for Spring 2024


If you are returning to your Fall 2023 housing for the Spring 2024 semester, please review the dates below regarding when your access will begin. Card access will begin at 9 a.m. on each date. Unless noted below or communicated to you individually, we are unable to facilitate additional early arrival requests for the spring semester, so please plan accordingly.

*Approved early arrivals will receive an individual message confirming an approved arrival date. Card access will begin at 9 a.m. on the approved date.

Note: There will be extended wait times for students who are locked out during opening, so please be sure that you remember your room key and student ID. If you have lost your key, please submit a lock recore request. You can pick up your replacement key at our office during business hours upon your return. The Deacon One Card office will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, January 13, for students who need a replacement student ID.

Spring 2024 Important Dates


  • Friday, May 10 - Last Day of Exams 
  • Saturday, May 11- Communities close at 2 p.m. for those not involved with commencement and those not approved for interim housing. 
  • Approved students will transition to interim housing by this time. Applications for Interim Housing will be available in early April via the housing portal. 
  • Monday, May 20- Commencement | Communities close at 7 p.m. for all students except those approved for continued Interim Housing.

If you’re interested in joining #TeamRLH with a premiere student leadership position on campus, we highly encourage you to submit your RA application for the 2024-2025 academic year via the Housing Portal.
