The second session on Fri., Mar. 19 will cover the subjects of sexual immorality, contemporary application of biblical law, and our hope in the Gospel. Red Letter Challenge
On Sundays during Lent [Sun. at 8 and 10:30 AM] Immanuel is participating in the Red Letter Challenge. Developed by Zach Zehnder, the Red Letter Challenge is designed to help you develop the rhythm of a follower of Jesus—being both a hearer and a doer or what God says. Christians can have good intentions, but intentions without precise aim at Jesus always lead to unintended consequences.

Sun., Mar. 14 - Serving Gratitude for what God has done leads you to serve Him. While serving others won’t save you, it just might save someone else.
Sun., Mar. 21 - Giving Learn that Jesus challenges you to be generous. Just as you serve as a response to God, you give because God gave to you.
Sun., Mar. 28 - Going Jesus offers a way of life filled with adventure, mission, and purpose; and He’ll be there right beside you.

Books and other materials are available before and after in-person worship services or stop by during the week to pick up your copy in the church office. Cost is $15 each.
Through Their Eyes
Pr. Eric Kennaugh and Immanuel member Bill McLane will provide brief Lenten devotional videos that will be available each Wednesday at 1 PM at immanuelbatavia.org/watch. These videos will highlight the events leading up to Christ’s crucifixion through the eyes of those involved.

Wed., Mar. 17 - Satan and God’s Champion Take this incredible opportunity to witness Jesus’ descent into hell to do battle with the Evil One—the Devil himself.
Wed., Mar. 24 - The Father and His Son Witness the risen Christ entering the gates of heaven to celebrate with the Father His triumph over sin, death, and the power of the Devil.
Drive-Thru Easter Egg Hunt
Sat., Mar. 20, 10 AM-Noon
Drive through our campus counting eggs, listening to the story of Jesus from Palm Sunday through Easter, and look at the story eggs. The first 100 cars will receive an Easter Story book. When you finish driving through, your children can tell us how many eggs they spotted in the trees and shrubs. They will receive a goody bag filled with candy and fun Easter activities.
Congregational Prayer and Worship
Sunday, March 21 at 4 pm in the Sanctuary
Possible virtual option. Watch for updates.
As a congregation, we are seeking God’s will for Immanuel. We have contracted with Lutheran Church Extension Fund [LCEF] and Pr. Tom Eggebrecht for help in discerning where God is inviting us to join Him in mission and ministry. Each of us is an invaluable member of the body [the church] and with Jesus [the Head], we are called to unity and fellowship. Please join us as we spend time together asking and listening to what God has for Immanuel.

Everyone is invited to attend this important and uplifting event!

Annual Fund Drive 2021
While the cost of a Christian education at Immanuel is within reach for most families, it may keep others from being able to provide a faith-based education for their children. Complete information is available on this flyer. Donate online at bit.ly/3sjlQQu.
