Early language and literacy development begins in the first three years of life and is closely related with a child’s earliest experiences with books, writing materials, and interactions with adults. This session will provide activities for encouraging literacy development in infants, toddlers, and preschoolers and will highlight how these foundational skills will support further language and literacy development as they prepare to transition to Kindergarten.
