Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 Vaccine Update
April 15, 2021: The Pennsylvania Department of Health (DOH) notified all vaccine providers to pause administering doses of the Johnson & Johnson (J&J) vaccine until at least April 20, 2021. This pause applies to Retail Pharmacy Partners (RPP) who were working to schedule vaccine appointments for the Early Childhood Education (ECE) workforce as part of the Special Initiative for Janssen, Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 Vaccine. Register Now for Conversations to Support Continuous Quality Improvement
April 14, 2021: Throughout April and May 2021, the Office of Child Development and Early Learning’s (OCDEL) Bureau of Certification Services is sponsoring a series of virtual conversations with center, group and family child care administrators. These conversations will create a forum to envision opportunities that support the continuous quality improvement (CQI) of early childhood education in Pennsylvania. Learn more.
Streamlining the Keystone STARS Designation System
The Office of Child Development and Early Learning (OCDEL), in partnership with the Pennsylvania Key, has been developing enhancements to Keystone STARS Designation System by adding functionality within the Professional Development (PD) Registry. These enhancements will ensure Early Childhood Education (ECE) professionals and programs have a more streamlined process and consolidated system for a single point of access. Read more.
