Seven Dreams' Teacher & Staff Appreciation Gift

Would you like to express gratitude to a special District 281 teacher or staff member for their commitment to our students this year? Or a principal, bus driver, food service worker, social worker, nurse, coach?

We'll help you send them a gift!

The Seven Dreams' TEACHER & STAFF APPRECIATION program
has a dual purpose:

  • to treat a favorite staff member with a gift card to CARIBOU COFFEE and a personalized "thank you" note, and
  • to support the Seven Dreams Education Foundation’s work to fund programs in the Robbinsdale Area Schools.

To buy a gift for a staff member, make a $20 donation (or more) to Seven Dreams and we'll take care of the rest! Please do NOT donate on our website. Instead, make your donation and purchase one or mores gifts here: http://bidpal.net/staffteacherappreciation. (Go to Menu & click on “Buy a Staff Gift”). Include your personal note to them in the "Special Requests" field. Questions? contact us at admin@sevendreams.org.

It's been a challenging year so let's show our staff our appreciation!

Celebrating Seven Dreams board members

On occasion, we will highlight one of our board members. The foundation benefits from our board members’ broad range of experiences, skills and community involvement.
Please join us in celebrating Helen Bassett, the Vice Chair of the Robbinsdale Area Schools (RAS) School Board and a member of the Seven Dreams Education Foundation Board of Directors. Director Bassett is the first and only African American woman to serve on the RAS school board. She was the first African American person appointed to the RAS school board in 2002 and the first person of color elected to the RAS school board in 2003. Director Bassett hopes that her service can encourage and open pathways for students and parents (particularly Black and Pan African) to be engaged and see the value of service. Here are a few of her transformative accomplishments and contributions:
  • The first African American woman to be selected by the Minnesota School Boards Association (MSBA) to the All-State School Board in 2018.
  • In 2016, she co-founded the African Heritage School Board Directors Group, later named the Minnesota School Board Directors of Color & Indigenous Fellowship.
  • First African American woman to chair the West Metro Education Program (WMEP) Joint Powers Board.
  • Government Affairs Liaison, State of Minnesota, Department of Commerce.
  • Co-founder of the National Coalition of Survivors for Violence Prevention, 1998, current National Coordinator.
Helen brings a wealth of experience to her work with Seven Dreams and a long commitment to the Robbinsdale Area Schools and the broader community. We’re grateful for her service on the foundation board and for the difference she’s making in the lives of our students.
