Sarah Busch

Head of ESG, Aperture Investors


Sarah Busch is the Head of ESG at Aperture Investors.Prior to joining Aperture in New York, she worked in Germany and Australia, after starting her career at a boutique asset manager, 2020 DirectInvest.Sarah earned a B.A. in Business Psychology from Fresenius, Germany, and a M.Sc in Global Affairs with a concentration in Energy and Environmental Policy from NYU, where she graduated with distinction. She is an avid traveler, enthusiastic equestrienne, and proud Humane Society member.


Julie Castro Abrams

CEO & Founder, How Women Lead


Julie Castro Abrams is on a mission for women to be “in the room where it happens” as the Hamilton song goes. She has spent her career focusing on equity for women, in particular focused on entrepreneurship and economic equity. She is the founder of How Women Lead, a network of 20,000 top women executives who are driving change at the top and together they drove CA’s famous board diversity legislation as part of an overall strategy to drive women’s board representation. Her organization trains and places women on hundreds of corporate boards. Julie is also driving change for women’s representation in venture and built the country’s largest venture fund focused exclusively on women founders.


Anna Spector

Managing Director, CCO, CVC Credit Partners


Managing Director and Chief Compliance Officer, joined CVC in 2016. Anna oversees CVC Credit's global compliance efforts, is the CCO of CVC’s US Broker-Dealer, and supports CVC Credit’s ESG program. Prior to joining CVC, she was the Deputy Chief Compliance Officer overseeing compliance for KKR's hedge fund solutions business. Anna also held compliance roles at PwC, Highland Capital Management, and Fisher Investments. Anna is the Chair of the New York Education Committee for 100 Women in Finance and is on the Board of Trustees for the Jewish Center of the Hamptons. Anna holds a BA in Political Science, cum laude, from the University of California, San Diego and an MBA from the Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX.


Joanne Huckle

Partner, Ogier


Joanne is described in the legal directories as a "sharp and commercial" lawyer and "an expert in the funds space." "She is one who will rise through the ranks quickly", notes Chambers and Partners, 2018. Her promotion to the partnership in 2017 came two weeks after her return from maternity leaving having introduced twin boys to the world and made her the youngest partner to have been made up in Ogier's history. Joanne advises some of the largest managers in the world and she has become 'go to' counsel for a broad spectrum of financial institutions as a recognised Cayman regulatory expert, leading Ogier's investment funds regulatory practice. Joanne is a member of various regulatory and legislative sub-committees, through which she engages with the Regulator and the Government on existing and impending legislation. Joanne originally trained as a corporate M&A attorney in London and has also worked in Hong Kong and in-house at Lloyds Banking Group. Joanne obtained her law degree at Oxford University (Pembroke College) and was awarded a distinction in the legal practice course.
