Thank You! On behalf of the Salesian Sisters in Ukraine, we, the Salesian Sisters of the St. Joseph province (Eastern USA and Canada), are grateful for the support of the students, faculty, staff, parents, family and friends of St. Francis DeSales High School. Over $2,000 was donated to bring aid to the Salesian Sisters of Ukraine and the neighboring Provinces that receive refugees. The school wrote a check for $2,038.60 and many more contributions and offerings from DeSales were given directly on the Salesian Sisters website and some checks were written directly to the Salesian Sisters. The Salesian Sisters are grateful for the generosity and solidarity of the school community. Let us continue to remain in solidarity in our prayers for those who are living in areas of wars and violence throughout the world. May the generosity of the SFD family be returned in an abundance of blessings!

On this Tuesday of Holy Week, Lord Jesus, we hear of the betrayal you suffered from Judas and of the foolish boasts of Peter. Their actions seem only to have reinforced your sense that you would suffer after being abandoned by many. Forgive our betrayals, our foolishness, our unwillingness to attend to those in need. May we learn not to fear suffering, and share your own openness to God’s will. You live and reign with the Father and the Spirit, God forever and ever. Amen.
