Broward JIC Snapshot #31: Pop-Ups Proliferate in June

Sixty-one percent of Broward residents age 12 and over
have received at least one dose of COVID-19 vaccine.

MASS VACCINATION SITES CONTINUE; BUT CHANGES AHEAD
There are currently 12 fixed vaccination site locations in Broward County. Nine of the sites are operated by DOH-Broward; three are operated by Florida Division of Emergency Management (FDEM). Schedule updates you should be aware of:

  • FDEM has announced that effective June 18, 2021, their two vaccination sites at Broward College North Campus (Coconut Creek) and Vizcaya Park (Miramar) will close. Until then, they will dispense second dose shots only of Pfizer (Vizcaya) or Moderna (Broward College) and shots of the single-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine (both locations) from 9AM – 5PM, seven days a week.
  • DOH-Broward has announced that Tree Tops Park site in Davie will close on June 17, 2021, the sites at Snyder Park in Fort Lauderdale will close on June 18, 2021, and the site at Pompano Beach CitiCentre will close on June 30, 2021.Read More...
Broward County Covid-19 Emergency Rental Assistance Program

The Broward County COVID-19 Emergency Rental Assistance Program is available for residents who are behind on rent and utilities due to the COVID-19 pandemic. To be eligible, at least one household member must qualify for unemployment or have reduced income, significant costs or financial hardship due to COVID. They also must demonstrate a risk of homelessness or housing instability and have a household income at or below 80 percent of the Area Median Income, which ranges from $49,300 to $92,950, depending on household size. For eligibility requirements and to apply, visit Broward.org/RentAssistance. Eligible households may receive up to 12 months of assistance plus an additional three months in some cases; 100% of past due rent payments can be covered.​
