The Lenten Season begins in just ten days.

As we seek God during Lent, we have Lenten prayer guides available on the table in the Café for anyone who is interested.
Spring will be here before we know it, which means we need to begin planning our Spring Festival, which is taking place on April 9th, just before Palm Sunday.

There will be a meeting this Sunday, February 20th, after the morning worship service in the Sanctuary for any and all who are interested in helping with this outreach to our community.
The Cafe will be open after the service Sunday for fellowship, food, and refreshments.

Here's this week's menu from Bill and the Crew...
Penne Pasta w/sauce
Meatballs w/sauce
Mini-Sub Buns
Parmesan Cheese/Red Pepper Flakes
Garden Salad w/dressings
Garlic Bread Sticks
Ricotta Cheese Cookies
Banana Pudding

White & Chocolate Milk, Orange Juice, Bottled Water,
and, of course, coffee.

Sunday, February 27th, we will have our Annual Meeting.
Our worship service will begin as usual,
then after the service we will provide a lunch for everyone so that we can come together afterwards to review
the past year and introduce our newest Vestry members.

Join us as we continue our viewing of
‘The Chosen’ on Friday evening, February 18th, at 7:00 PM.

After each episode, we will have a group discussion and share dessert. This is a great opportunity to invite friends and family to learn of Jesus’ life and ministry.

From Betty Budyka & the family of Bob Budyka:

"We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to our St Luke's family. We are grateful for each of you and the love, prayers, meals, generosity and more you graced us with during our time of loss.
You have been "Jesus with skin on" and we cherish each of you.

In Him,
Bob's family

What is "Stage 4"?
Stage 4 is a group of regular people who happen to have cancer or have been closely touched by cancer in their lives.

What does "Stage 4" do?
Stage 4 creates comfort bags which are given to people entering into chemotherapy and cancer treatment. The bags are created by people who have gone through cancer treatment themselves and have a unique prospective on how to make time in treatment a little easier.

Why does "Stage 4" do this?
We are guided by 1 Corinthians 1:3-4, where we are told about the God of all Comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God.

How much do these bags cost?
The comfort bags are available free of charge for both men and women in cancer treatment.

How can You help with this ministry?
You would be most welcome if you would like to help with putting together comfort bags. Stage 4 meets in the Lower-Level Conference Room at St. Luke's Church on Thursday mornings at 9:30 AM and on Tuesday evenings at 6:30 PM.
