Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukkah!

Millions of people in this world must practice their faith in secret, sometimes under penalty of death. We are so incredibly fortunate to live in a country where we can celebrate our faith so freely. That is why the fight against liberal attacks on our Judeo-Christian values is so important. Because our founders thought the freedom of religion so critical they included it in the very first amendment to the Constitution.

In this season of giving I am reminded of all the people who give so much for our state and nation. Some donate money, which is critical, but far fewer give something that is even more valuable, time. Volunteers are what run our party, grow our party and get our voters to the polls. There are also countless volunteers who will be spending time this holiday season serving others.

To all the volunteers who gave so much in 2022, a heartfelt THANK YOU! Our world is a better place because of your gifts!

The Bidenflation Nightmare Before Christmas

Biden's inflationary agenda is wreaking havoc on Americans' wallets this holiday season. 



What you need to know:

• This Christmas, Americans will pay more for just about everything under the tree (and the tree itself) thanks to Bidenflation.
• This year’s Christmas price index – which calculates the price of gifts from the classic “Twelve Days of Christmas” – is up 10.5%, the largest increase since 2008.
• Inflation is slamming shoppers this holiday season.
• With inflation wreaking havoc on wallets this holiday season, shoppers are cutting back. 
• 41% of Americans plan to spend less this year than last, marking the most cautious holiday season since 2013.
• 57% of Americans say it’s harder to afford presents according to a recent AP-NORC poll, up 17-points from last year.
• Americans plan to buy an average of just nine gifts this year, compared with 16 last year.
• Families are facing steeper prices to travel to see loved ones over the holidays.
• A round-trip flight during the Christmas season is now 39% more expensive than last year, making holiday airfare the most expensive in five years.
• Rates for hotel rooms and rental cars have spiked “12% and 46% respectively from where they were in 2019.”
• Gas prices sit at $3.10 per gallon, remaining nearly $1 higher than before Biden took office.
• With 95% of Americans reporting higher-than-usual prices for groceries in recent months, cooking a holiday meal will be costlier.
• Staples like a Christmas ham (+7.8%), pie (+19.4%), cookies (+19.2%), and milk for Santa (+14.7%) are all up.
• Along with a more expensive holiday, heating costs this winter are also expected to burn a hole in Americans’ wallets. 

The bottom line:

As inflation continues to destroy Americans’ finances, Biden promises “nothing” will change. Thankfully, there will soon be a Republican majority in the House to keep Biden and the Democrats from doubling down on the policies that fueled inflation in the first place.

RNC Sends Letter to FEC on Twitter Censorship

This week, the Republican National Committee (RNC) sent a letter to the Federal Election Commission (FEC) calling on it to reexamine the RNC's October 2020 complaint about Twitter's partisan suppression of the Hunter Biden laptop story. In particular, the RNC highlights how new information in the bombshell “Twitter Files” appears to contradict factual claims made by Twitter to the FEC in responding to the RNC’s complaint. The RNC asks the FEC to investigate and refer any false statements to the Department of Justice as appropriate.

What you need to know:

• The RNC filed a complaint against Twitter with the FEC in October 2020 regarding its partisan suppression of the Hunter Biden laptop story.
• The FEC dismissed and closed the RNC complaint on August 10, 2021.
• In light of new bombshell revelations regarding Twitter censorship practices, the RNC is seeking real answers to the following questions:
• Why Twitter senior management suppressed the Hunter Biden story;
• Why Twitter went above their normal censorship enforcement strategy, including using measures that were previously reserved for child pornography and other “extreme cases”.
• The RNC asks the FEC to investigate whether Twitter employees previously lied to the FEC and asks that any false claims be referred to the DOJ, as it is appropriate. 
• This is not about current Twitter leadership and the RNC commends the steps recently taken to make the Twitter Files public.
• For years, the RNC has been talking about and pushing back on political bias in Big Tech. With a Republican controlled House, we can now hold them accountable.
• In 2018, the RNC sent a letter to Twitter and Facebook to stop shadow-banning conservative accounts, including Chairwoman McDaniel’s account.
• In April 2022, RNC, NRCC, and NRSC filed a complaint with the Federal Election Commission (FEC)  after it was revealed that Google was suppressing conservative emails at a higher rate than liberal emails.
• In October 2022, the RNC sued Google.

The bottom line:

Big Tech acted as an extension of the Democrat Party, threw free speech out the window, and worked to influence the election in 2020 by suppressing the Hunter Biden story.
