Thanksgiving Recap
We had a wonderful Thanksgiving Sunday here at St. Paul’s!

A big thank you to the Chancel Guild for beautifully decorating our building. What a great opportunity to celebrate in community.

As you feel comfortable, do join us for our in-person services. Make sure to register you and your family by following one of the links below.

We also have Children’s and Youth Ministry at both services.

Ride for Refuge Update
Ride for Refuge happened on October 2 and was a great success! A big thank you to everyone who joined us, walked, biked, prayed, or donated to this great cause. We had fabulous weather, connected with new people, and got some exercise exploring the beautiful High Park.

We raised over $6,000 for AURA (Anglican United Refugee Alliance), helping them surpass their goal of $40,000 - thanks be to God!

If you would like to be involved with our growing ministry to refugees, please contact the Rev.Karen Isaacs.

AGM (Vestry)
What does our future hold? An opportunity to give thanks for the past year and look forward with hope to the future is fast approaching. The 179th Annual General (Vestry) Meeting of St. Paul’s Bloor Street will be held on Zoom Tuesday October 26 at 7:30 pm on Zoom. If you are a member of our St.Paul’s community – new or longstanding – we would love for you to join. You have a voice and a vote!

The voters list is available at the office during the week. Please check to ensure you are on the list. All members of the parish are encouraged to attend the AGM by signing up online here.

To submit a motion for consideration at the meeting, a written copy must be provided to the Trustees by noon on Tuesday, October 19. Motions can be dropped off at the office or emailed to mail@stpaulsbloor.org. Meeting materials will be sent to all registered attendees.

Can’t attend the meeting but still would like the materials? Please email the office.
Calling all children:
Wear your Halloween costume TWICE!
Halloween is the evening before All Saints Day, when we remember and give thanks for all those who have gone before us in this earthly life.

Halloween this year falls on Sunday, October 31st and so we would love to have all the children who are joining us on Sunday morning, come in their Halloween costume!
Bring on the Princesses, Harry Potter characters, Superheroes, and Animals! Please bring your children in their costumes and we will love to give them a blessing that Sunday in church. Please no witches, devils, or violent characters, as we give thanks for God’s ultimate triumph over death and evil.
Made to Serve One Another
Each week, Chef Omari prepares healthy meals for two local ministries that are feeding the poor and marginalized of our community: Sanctuary and Redeemer’s “The Common Table”.

In order for these meals to get where they need to go, we need volunteers who are willing to drive them! If you have a car and half an hour to spare on Tuesday or Thursday afternoons, please consider signing up for this important ministry.

Thank you for your willingness to serve!

For more information, please contact Daphne Flint-Polo.
All volunteers must provide proof of vaccination as per Diocesan protocols.
Coming Up at St. Paul's
Classical Music
Ministry Gathering
Do you like music? Would you like to help fill our beautiful space with sound? If so, whether you carry your tunes in a bucket, on a violin, or on a trumpet, the classical music ministry has a place for you!

The 11am choir will have an outdoor social gathering next Thursday, October 21, to drink hot cider and make some plans in hopeful anticipation of when we can sing again, and anyone who loves music is warmly invited. We’re itching to make music together again; and when we’re able, we want YOU to join us!

Interested? Please email Joshua Slater!
