Changes to Vestry Meetings

and Third Sunday Brunch

Due to space conflicts, in February, we will be changing vestry meetings to the third Sunday of the month after church. This necessitates moving

Third Sunday Brunch to First Sunday Brunch.

For those who have been enjoying Lunch Bunch on the first Sundays, hopefully this can also be switched to third Sunday. Since it is enjoyed away from the church building, the space conflict doesn't apply. January Third Sunday Brunch can continue as planned.

For those who have signed up to host in February and March, please let me know if this is going to be a problem for you.

Are you confused? Talk to Rose if you need a walk-through.

New Office Hours

Our new parish administrator, Erin Renfroe, is now working a regular schedule. The church office hours will be Monday through Thursday, 9:00 - 2:00 p.m.

Please remember that any news to be included in the Sunday bulletin should be submitted by noon on Thursday.

We need crucifers for the services on Sunday! (The crucifer gets to carry the cross in the processional and recessional.)

If you are interested in being one please contact the church office by email: contact@stnicholashamilton.org.

Scam Alert!

There have been reports of a renewed barrage of phishing emails purporting to be from Rev. Bob Farrow or church leaders in These communications often have mistakes in grammar or spelling, or language that seems awkward. If you know how to view the sender's email address, you will also find small differences between that email and the one in our directory. Do not respond to these emails - if you have a genuine concern for the purported sender, contact them using the information from the church directory or your own knowledge.

Save the Date!

The date for CVEM’s Striving for Justice presentation at St. Nicholas about the Harris County Community Remembrance Project will be Sunday, February 25. The time is TBA, but since this is an “in-person” event we will want people to be able to get home before dark, so it will likely be the middle of the afternoon.

Prayer Requests

Prayers for Gene Wells for his recovery from a medical procedure, for Lynn Hall for recovery from a injury, and for the family of Ingrid Cheshire as they mourn her passing.

Continued prayers for all those in need within our community and those in the world who have suffered due to war and natural disaster, especially the people of Israel.

Annual Planning Session

January 9 and 10

It is our annual data review and planning season. Each year we schedule 2 days around our regular collaborative meeting during which time we review our data, prior to developing an annual plan. This is an exciting and important opportunity for our entire community to create a shared vision and set the direction of the future of our collaborative.

Our data review on January 9th will be online. Our annual planning on January 10th will be hybrid (in-person and online). This Zoom link will be used for both sessions. Please plan to attend both sessions as we will need all your input to develop a truly comprehensive and successful plan.

* Lunch will be served so please RSVP if you plan to attend the in-person session on January 10th.

If you have an event coming up, an announcement you'd like to share, or have recently experienced a birth, death, or sickness and would like some EXTRA prayers, send them to contact@stnicholashamilton.org or call the office at 706-628-7272.
