Graduate Career Expo: May 13
A Graduate Career Expo is scheduled for Friday, May 13, from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Dobson campus at the Clocktower. This event will coincide with graduation rehearsal.
The SCC Marketing Department will be taking free digital professional headshots of students for their social media sites during the event.

Commencement Ceremony
The commencement ceremony will be held in the gymnasium on the Surry Community College campus in Dobson:
All Programs
- Mandatory Practice: Friday, May 13, 11 a.m. (A-Building Lobby)
- Ceremony: Saturday, May 14, 1 p.m. (A-Building Lobby)
Guests should report to the gymnasium on Saturday, while graduates should assemble in the A-Building.

Bookstore hours are Monday through Thursday, 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Friday 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The bookstore will be open on Saturday, May 14, between the hours of 8 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. just in case you need assistance with your regalia or would like to purchase some last-minute SCC items or flowers for graduates.

Log in and scroll down below the Announcements section, and click on Self-Service. Click on Grades and select the term to view your final grades.

Summer Tuition Payment Plan
Surry Community College's Summer Payment Plan will open April 18 and close May 9, at 6 p.m. for full-term courses. Half of the tuition is due at enrollment and the other half in June.
For mid-term courses, the plan will open on June 1 and close on June 27 at 6 p.m. Half of the tuition is due at enrollment with the other half due in July. There is a $25 set-up/enrollment fee.

Summer Criminal Justice Classes
|
|
Surry Community College is offering summer semester Criminal Justice classes including CJC-111-120 Intro to Criminal Justice.
This course introduces the components and processes of the criminal justice system. Topics include history, structure, functions, and philosophy of the criminal justice system and their relationship to life in our society. Upon completion, students should be able to define and describe the major system components and their interrelationships and evaluate career options. Class dates are May 26-June 23, 2022.

Surry Community College is offering summer semester Criminal Justice classes including CJC-112-120 Criminology.
This course introduces deviant behavior as it relates to criminal activity. Topics include theories of crime causation; statistical analysis of criminal behavior; past, present, and future social control initiatives; and other related topics. Upon completion, students should be able to explain and discuss various theories of crime causation and societal response.
