Let's Work Together to
Create Anti-Racist Schools!
A final call for participation in a workshop series facilitated by Brandi Grayson, founder of Urban Triage. Urban Triage’s work is founded and grounded in the human experience and designed to meet individuals where they are in their personal journey toward understanding diversity, equity, and social justice. This workshop series is designed to bring about transformational ways of thinking and impact the confidence with which people live their lives and seek to address our deeply embedded ways of thinking and how that affects the difference we make in our worlds. Each session will be built upon the previous to create a foundation for transformation in yourself, your workplace, and your community.

Sessions will take place virtually via Zoom on the following dates and times:

  1. Thursday, March 11th from 5:00-7:00 p.m.
  2. Thursday, March 18th from 5:00-7:00 p.m.
  3. Thursday, March 25th from 5:00-7:00 p.m.

Cost per person will be based on the number of participants who commit to the workshop
series. With a minimum of 15 participants, the cost will be $354 per person, and will
decrease with each additional participant up to 20, at which time the cost will be $265 per
person.

To confirm your participation, please email communityengagementfrpto@gmail.com by Friday, February 26.
Reflection and Recognition
Hello Franklin-Randall community!

Our next PTO membership meeting, on March 9, will encompass the theme of “Reflection and Recognition.”

First, we’d like to invite reflection on the importance of Black History Month and recognition for the work our awesome teachers have done during February to facilitate meaningful conversations with kids around Black Excellence.

Next, we will spend time during the meeting recognizing and thanking the volunteers from the Classroom Coordinator program for the connection and support they have provided to teachers and families in an extraordinary year.

We’ll also reflect on things that went well, areas for growth, and what we’d like to see for this program the rest of this year and for next year.

We invite community members to come to the meeting to share their thanks and meaningful stories about what's happened at home with kids processing Black History and/or experiences receiving support from Classroom Coordinators.

If you’re not able to attend the meeting, but would still like to share your experiences, please email franklinrandallptoboard@googlegroups.com.
