FundWomen: The Investment Case for Diverse Lens Investing

Sponsored by Bloomberg L.P.

Institutional investors are increasingly interested in women/minority owned/managed funds. Examine diverse lens investing and its results from the allocator's perspective. As a fund manager or portfolio manager, learn some practical steps you can take to increase the discoverability of your fund and its visibility to a wider institutional investor audience.

Key topics include:

  • The current fundraising landscape for women/minority owned/managed funds
  • The rationale for investing through a diverse lens
  • How investing through a diverse lens applies to alternative funds and the methods by which this can be expressed in a portfolio
  • Uncover the obstacles in the industry that need to change to increase the success of diverse managers
  • How women/minority owned/managed funds can improve their discoverability to new investors

Here are two quick steps to make your investment talent more visible to institutional investors:

1) Become a member of 100 Women in Finance. Female Fund Managers are invited to submit your headshot and contact information to the FundWomen online Directory.

2) As a women/minority owned/managed hedge fund manager, you may request your fund profile be featured on the Bloomberg Terminal by emailing hfnd@bloomberg.net. Use the Bloomberg Mandates platform to connect with allocators who have expressed interest in funds like yours.
