YOUTH GROUP VISITATION

After church last Sunday, our youth played BINGO with

the residents of Fairhaven Forest City!

If you would like to place an Easter lily in memory or in honor of someone, please fill out the form located in the narthex and return it to the church office along with a payment of $18.00/plant by Sunday, March 24. The lilies will be displayed on Easter Sunday with a list of names published in the order of worship.

Beginning this Sunday, March 10, we will be hosting a group of NC State Students during their spring break trip to Rutherford County to do home repairs for those in our area unable to otherwise afford for the work to be done. They will be staying in our building the entire week. We would love to welcome them by providing snacks for them to have throughout the week. If you'd like to donate pre-packaged snacks (cookies, protein/granola/breakfast bars, candy, chips, etc.), please bring them to the church office this Sunday.

Mark your calendar for Sunday, March 17! A photographer will be with us all morning taking pictures of our Sunday school classes, conversations in the hallways, and our worship service. We plan to use the photos on our newly updated website!

This Lenten season, you're invited to a weekly Community Lenten Service hosted by the Rutherford Ministerial Alliance. Join us each Wednesday beginning at Noon for worship followed by a soup & sandwich lunch. Click Here for the entire Community Lenten Lunch Schedule.

Fellowship of Christian Women will have a luncheon meeting on March 18 at 11:30 am at First Wesleyan Church. After lunch, our members will help pack up needed items they purchased for Hands of Hope Pregnancy Resource Center and deliver them.

There are many opportunities for service at FBCR, and our Ministry Teams welcome your involvement! You are encouraged to join a Team(s) that fits your interests and gifts. Where is God leading you to serve? Whether you are interested in hospitality, landscaping, community outreach, working with children or youth, supporting the incarcerated, or visiting those who can no longer attend (to name a few of the opportunities!), there is a Team that would benefit from your strengths. More volunteers are needed to assist in the preschool room on Sundays during worship. Volunteers are background checked and trained. You are generally scheduled to volunteer one time every 8 weeks. No experience needed, just a kind heart for children. Contact Donna if you would like more information.

ILLUMINATE, our youth group gathering, meet every Sunday at 4:00 p.m. in the youth basement. Each week they share a meal (provided by families from our church), an ice breaker or game, and then enter into a time of conversation around the original context of the passages for the week.
